Avoid Workflow Transaction Failure if Line Manager is not mapped to assignment

Avoid transaction failure if Line Manager is not mapped to the employee’s assignment and ensure that the Line Manager (LM) will receive FYI notification in approval hierarchy.

Use Case - Line Manager is not mapped to bunch of workers, and approval chain includes Line Manager. Example - Regular Employees will have Line Manager mapped to its assignment, but Contingent Workers will not.

Best Practice to configure LM node in workflow configuration is dragging and dropping Management Hierarchy entity from Approvers section.

But for our Use Case, transaction will fail due to unavailability of LM, thus instead of earlier entity, we will use below Users.

and the setup of this node will be as below, select Worker's Current Line Manager from the lookup -

Submit the configuration, and validate results performing transaction, it will be completing successfully.
